How to apply a round wall mural?

Installation Instructions for Round Wall Mural

Required Materials:

  • The round wall mural (in one piece or several strips depending on the size)
  • A measuring tape
  • A pencil
  • A spirit level or plumb line
  • A ruler
  • A cutter or scissors
  • Non-woven wall mural paste
  • A smoothing brush or rubber roller
  • A bucket and brush for applying the paste (if necessary)
  • A clean, damp cloth

Important Information:

  • For round wall murals with a diameter of less than 140 cm, the wallpaper comes in one piece.
  • For round wall murals with a diameter greater than 130 cm, it is delivered in several strips:
    • 3 strips for a diameter of 195 cm
    • 4 strips for diameters of 240 cm, 250 cm, and 260 cm

1. Prepare the Surface

The wall should be clean, smooth, dry, and free of dust. If your wall has irregularities, sand it and clean it before installation. Uneven surfaces can lead to poor adhesion.

2. Mark Your Guidelines

Using a measuring tape, find the center of where you want to place the wall mural. Use a pencil to mark this central point. If you are using several strips, also draw vertical lines using a level to ensure the perfect alignment of the strips.

3. Apply the Non-Woven Wall mural Paste

Non-woven wall mural paste is applied directly to the wall mural, not the wall, to avoid excess glue around the design. Use a roller or brush to apply an even layer of paste to the first strip or the one-piece wall mural.

4. Install One-Piece Wall mural (for diameters under 140 cm)

Carefully position the round wall mural on the wall, aligning the center of the wall mural with the center mark you made. Start by sticking the top of the wall mural and gradually work your way down.

Use a smoothing brush or a rubber roller to smooth the wall mural from the center outwards to remove any air bubbles.

5. Install Multi-Strip Wall mural (for diameters over 130 cm)

  • Strip 1: Apply the first strip, carefully aligning its edge with the vertical line you marked. Gently press it with a smoothing brush or rubber roller to remove air bubbles and ensure proper adhesion.
  • Strip 2 and subsequent strips: Apply the next strip, carefully aligning the patterns with the previous strip. Smooth again from the center outwards with a smoothing brush or rubber roller to avoid air bubbles.

6. Smooth and Adjust

Once all strips are in place or the one-piece wall mural is applied, use a smoothing brush or rubber roller to smooth the surface and remove any air bubbles.

7. Clean and Finalize

Use a clean, damp cloth to wipe away any excess glue around the wall mural.

Additional Tips:

  • Check the order of the strips if the wall mural is in multiple parts to ensure proper alignment of the pattern.
  • Apply the paste evenly on the wall mural to prevent air bubbles from forming after installation.
  • Work in a room at ambient temperature to make applying the paste and wall mural easier.

That’s it, your round wall mural is installed, creating an impressive effect on your wall, with a perfectly smooth and well-adhered finish!
